The Power Shot by Rose & Caramel

I am a huge supplement fan – and a very particular one at that, as not all supplements are created equal. My own personal “no-no” for a supplement is if it quickly turns my pee to a very yellow colour (apologies for the over-sharing) it is not a scientific fact and doesn’t apply to all, but, if a supplement makes your pee more yellow or ‘brighter’, it very often means the vitamins are passing through your system faster than you can absorb them.

Sometimes this is due to low quality supplements, and in some cases, it can be due to the liver function being compromised.

The Power Shot solves these issues by A. being a powerhouse of a supplement, packed full of goodness, and B. being in liquid form for the easiest absorption. The liquid itself is a 100% natural berry tasting syrup consistency, which I think most will find very tasty – I certainly can’t imagine anyone would find the taste offensive at all (I look forward to taking my berry shot each morning) and is ideal for people who aren’t keen on swallowing tablets. I personally don’t mind supplements in tablet form, but it can get a bit tedious or hard to squeeze in if you are taking a few different ones at a time, so a liquid vitamin fits in perfectly!

As for “the goodness”, The Power Shot contains hydrolyzed collagen (i.e the collagen most easily absorbed by the body) which I’m sure we all know is responsible for keeping our skin looking plump and firm, but it is also responsible for strengthening our hair and nails and helping to maintain our bone and joint health too. As we age, our collagen production dwindles, but thanks to brands like Rose & Caramel, it is incredibly easy to replace!

Also, in The Power Shot we have the famous Hyaluronic Acid to boost hydration levels, antioxidant Vitamin C to maintain skin tone and support the immune system (alongside vitamin D) as well as all the B vitamin heroes for enhanced focus and increased energy levels. It is non-GMO and is naturally free from gluten, soy, egg, nuts & lactose, and at £39.99 for a month’s supply, it comes in much cheaper than other brands of this quality – it is pretty much the perfect supplement!

Although The Power Shot is new to the market, you may recognise the name of Rose & Caramel – they are a lovely, award-winning self-tan range, and the reason The Power Shot came to be; founder Rosie Greenhalgh was so dedicated to perfecting the art of self-tan application, and knowing that the better condition the skin is in, the better the tan will look (and eventually fade) so she created The Power Shot to sit alongside her tanning range. She wasn’t wrong – applying self-tan was never a problem for me, but at times, the fading of the tan has been hideous. I can honestly say, after taking The Power Shot for 4 weeks, I am no longer a tiger-bread-looking mess every Tuesday/Wednesday!

If you are looking to add collagen to your beauty routine (and I think you should be) , you will not be disappointed by Rose & Caramel.
