VEGAN COOKIES

With more and more people choosing to be plant based, thankfully the range of eateries is on the increase too! Floozie is a hidden gem in the corner of Covent Garden market that packs a big punch when it comes to hitting your sweet spot. With outside and inside seating, it’s the ideal place for people watching with (an oat milk) cuppa, and if you can’t choose one of their mouthwatering stuffed cookies, which ooze taste and allow you to savour every bite, why not get the three for a tenner deal?

To be honest, I am not strictly vegan, but when I heard about the artisan delights which include melt in the mouth pecan pie, cinnamon crunch, peanut butter and jam, black forest gateau and salted pistachio, I knew I would get inspired, and truth be told, I got cookies to take away as I was so tempted by the ice cream!

Oat milk is popular amongst baristas due to its thick, creamy texture, so it makes sense that it makes a fluffy ice cream too; and this month’s flavour, designed by Chef Kimberly, is a divine combination of sweet and sour, named the Cherry and Chocolate Hot Mess.

Having never tasted plant-based ice cream before, I couldn’t really tell this apart. The texture mimicked the satisfying feel of a premium dairy version, and the combination of chocolate chunks, cherry compote and vanilla was equally refreshing and moreish, and as they don’t skimp on the portion size, you might even want to share!
