Parmesan and Black Pepper Chick and Eggs Mini Biscuits

Parmasan and Black Pepper Chick and Egg BiscuitsIf you need a break from chocolate this Easter, then this parmesan biscuit recipe is perfect. Fill your Easter basket and deliver to family and friends.

What You’ll Need:

  • 200g plain flour
  • 100g salted butter
  • 100g finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 whole happy egg and 1 happy egg yolk
  • salt
  • black peppercorns
  • ground black pepper

What To Do:

  • Mix the flour and butter in a food processor until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add ½ the grated parmesan, the happy eggs, a pinch of salt, ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
  • Mix until it forms a dough.
  • Leave to rest for an hour.
  • Roll out on a floured surface to around ½ cm thick.
  • Cut out the eggs and chicks shapes using cookie cutters.
  • Press in a whole peppercorn for the chicks’ eyes, and sprinkle the remaining parmesan on the chick shapes.
  • Place on a lightly greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven (190C or Gas Mark 5) for around 10-12 minutes.
