What Mother Made Childrenswear

Girl wearing What Mother Made Floral DungareesLondon based childrenswear brand, What Mother Made blends together the traditional styles of days gone by, with a quirky-cool, modern attitude.

In general, kids don’t usually want to wear what mum made, but if our mother’s made clothes like this, we most certainly would.

What Mother Made is a trendy, East London based childrenswear brand that makes bespoke pieces for super cool little ones, newborn to eight years. Using locally sourced fabrics and prints, the What Mother Made team sow together garment piece by piece with love in their Dalston based studio.

As everything is made to order, each garment, be it a printed jumpsuit or a baby bonnet comes with that ‘one-of-a-kind’ feel – perfect for little one’s birthdays or special occasions.

We’re a sucker for a pair of dungarees here at StyleNest HQ, and What Mother Made’s are some of the best we’ve come across. Available in a range of shades and prints from fisherman yellow to pretty pink, simple stripes to African inspired print, they’ll look super adorable on little ones of all ages this summer.

In the girl’s department there are some adorable smock style dresses, perfect for summer weddings or garden parties. Whilst the boy’s French style chambray shorts and red braces set will have your little chap looking suitably dapper this summer.

And for those with an eye for all things vintage, What Mother Made also stocks an online selection of kid’s vintage finds, from traditional smocks to handmade booties.

Back in the What Mother Made’s main line, the mix of traditional British heritage prints and styles, with a cooler, more modern approach to kid’s wear is what makes to brand so appealing.

There are no rules here, so pairing a ditsy print romper with an African print baseball cap never looked so good. We never liked rules anyway.
