Leeds Castle Fireworks Spooktacular, Kent
Always making the must-see fireworks display lists is Leeds Castle in the Kent countryside. This annual spectacular sees a burst of fireworks and flames set off from floating pontoons on the castle moat. The castle itself will be lit up with projections, whilst the fireworks will perform to the sounds of Halloween inspired tunes, from Scooby Doo to the Ghostbusters theme tune. An autumnal extravaganza for the whole family and one not to be missed.

Battersea Park Fireworks, London
Next door to one of London’s most iconic landmarks, The Battersea Power Station is one of the capital’s most beautiful parks. This Guy Fawkes Night, Battersea Park will transform into a theatrical fireworks show, fired by the award-winning pyrotechnicians Pains Fireworks. There will be plenty of food and warm drinks on offer too to keep the family happy.
When: Saturday 3 November 2012. Gates open 6pm, Bonfire 7.30pm. Display 8pm.

Hopetoun Fireworks & Bonfire Night, Edinburgh
For those of you north of the boarder, dig out your winter warmers and head to the stunning grounds of Hopetoun, Edinburgh. Known as Scotland’s finest stately home, this stunning setting is sure to put some glamour into your bonfire night. There will be a host of entertainment on offer, as well as fantastic food stalls to keep you going. And, seeing as it’s the Jubilee year, Hopetoun promise this year’s display will be bigger, brighter and better than ever before.

Family Friendly Fireworks at Bristol Zoo
What with all the bright sparks and loud bangs, a zoo doesn’t seem the most appropriate place to hold a fireworks display. Well, the clever folk at Bristol Zoo have created a family friendly event using only low-noise fireworks suitable for the most sensitive of little ears. There’s also a limited number of tickets to ensure a safe and relaxed atmosphere for your little ones. Get your tickets before they sell out.

Heaton Park Bonfire & Fireworks Display, Manchester
The usual Bonfire Night entertainment will be on offer at Manchester’s vast Heaton Park – from an impressive fireworks display to thrilling fairground rides. Don your hat, scarves and gloves and tuck into a warm glass of mulled wine, or head to the numerous craft stalls setting up shop to get some Christmas shopping in early. There’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

Vikings & Fireworks Spectacular at Tutbury Castle, Staffordshire
Regularly voted one of the UK’s best fireworks displays, Tutbury Castle is a Bonfire Night must-see if you’ve got any little history buffs in the family. The evening’s events will kick off with a Viking moonlight battle, followed by a Viking funeral and finally a firework spectacular. The entertainment starts early on the Sunday at 5.30pm, making it a great option if you’ve got little ones that need to get up for school in the morning. No doubt they’ll be going to school with numerous Viking tales to tell.

Round Table Bonfire & Fireworks Display, Wales
Why not take the family to Wales’ Penrhos Beach in Anglesey for an evening of fireworks and alfresco dining. The event’s famous hog roast sold out in under an hour last year, so head straight for that before watching the stunning display above. The bonfire will be dramatically lit up by a local archery club using flaming arrows, which is sure to excite little kids and big kids too. Entry is only £3 for adults and absolutely free for kids, with the proceeds going to local charities.

LEGO Monster Fighters Fireworks at LEGOland
Make a whole day of it this year with a family trip to LEGOland. The theme park is playing host to a monster themed fireworks display as evil Lord Vampyre fires off the fireworks above the famous Windsor resort. The LEGOland rides will also stay open after the display, allowing you to experience all the theme park fun after dark.
