TLC Yoga Wear

Add a little bit of TLC to your workouts.

I am definitely a substance over style kinda gal when it comes to working out; I like ‘hold-me-in leggings’, a very supportive sports bra and a top that doesn’t ride up. Sounds simple enough, but it always surprises me that there are still sports leggings on the market (not cheap ones either) which manage to slide down, and tops that cling in all the wrong places – or worse, roll up.

Well, new-to-me brand, TLC, have all bases covered, none more so than the options of compression leggings; with a choice of Medium, Strong and Extra Strong(!) hold, as well as boot cut and straight options, pockets or thigh smoothing, and Long, Medium and Short lengths, there really is something for every taste.

If I were to choose some TLC leggings for myself, I probably would have gone for the strong hold, but for the purposes of this review, I wanted to give the Extra Strong a go, to see if they were uncomfortably strong and if they caused any embarrassing (for me) over-hang. I can honestly say, once they were on, they were so much more comfortable than my regular hold leggings; they stayed perfectly in place, they didn’t cause any bulges and they didn’t feel tight around my stomach (I hate that feeling). They do give you a tiny bit of a workout when putting them on though!

I also tried a lovely, white oversized jumper, with breathable, thin fabric which did the job of keeping me warm before I’d warmed up and keeping me cool enough during the actual workout.

Make sure you have a really thorough search through the website – there are so many different types of style available; from a (very) traditional looking fleece to a cropped sports top with mesh and high-shine panels (I like a lot!). Maybe now I will work out with style and substance!
