Take flight with a Carl Friedrik Case

The on carry-on you need!

Regular flyers always have an opinion about carry-on luggage, they need it to be neat, reliable and practical, so when I received my shiny new Carl Friedrik carry-on, I was over the moon to show it off.

Being a luxury brand, for full transparency, the size isn’t compatible with the budget airlines, but if you are high-flyer with BA, you will be just fine for a weekend trip. I have been lucky enough to jet off on several press-related jaunts recently, and my faithful case has accompanied me. The brand was launched by two brothers in 2013, and it oozes elegant sophistication. If a suitcase can be gendered, I would say it errs on the manly side with its no nonsense aluminium clip fasteners and inbuilt combination lock. No zips here!

Inside was equally as streamlined, with five discrete pockets for stashing all your essentials, and adjustable internal dividers with elasticated packing straps to keep items securely in place. The winner for me though, was the handy padded front pocket that offered easy access to my laptop.

Overall, it was easy to manoeuvre, thanks to its smooth telescopic handle. The Japanese-designed Hinomoto 360 degree spinner wheels ensured it was a noiseless adventure and I didn’t wake the whole street when I trotted to the station for my early flight, and the all black colour meant I didn’t have to worry about it clashing with my outfit!

So if you want to invest in something that looks good, and is  made to last, the Carl Friedrik range should be on your radar.
